EverWonder’s Invention Convention is Back!
Have you ever wondered how to inspire your young inventor? Or how to get them involved in a local, state, and national program? We have exciting news—EverWonder’s Invention Convention is back for its second year, and we want your child to be part of it!
What is the Invention Convention?
Our Invention Convention is a hands-on, 8-week program designed to ignite creativity, spark curiosity, and encourage innovation in young minds. With the support of our expert museum educators, your child will design and create their very own invention, culminating in a showcase at our Invention Convention. From there, there’s a chance to advance to the state or even national level!
Why Join?
In this program, children will:
- Explore the world of invention through fun, interactive activities.
- Learn the process of inventing—from brainstorming ideas to creating prototypes.
- Receive guidance from our experienced educators every step of the way.
At the end of the program, they’ll proudly present their invention at our Convention, and potentially move on to even greater opportunities. It’s not just an event; it’s an experience that helps children learn, grow, and maybe even invent the next big thing!
Program Details:
- Cost: $200 for 8 weeks (1.5 hours of instruction per week). All materials, including the poster board for the Convention, are provided. Additional materials will be minimal or preferably recycled from home.
- Discount: EverWonder Members receive a 10% discount!
- Schedule: We’re offering two afterschool programs, based on age groups: Tuesday for Kindergarten-2nd Grade and Wednesday for 3rd-5th Grade. (All local students can join, with Newtown students able to take the bus directly to the museum after school.)
Registration closes January 5th, 2025.
At least 5 students are needed to run each age group, so please tell your friends!
